I saw a painting in the library today. It was the kind that makes you envy the artist for creating it, because you wish you had the creativity to just come up with the concept. There was this swirl of flying cranes and exploding around them in watercolored glory were all the colors I love, like purple and pink and blue and green. Words can't even do it justice. I immediately looked at the price tag--which happened to be $800. Sigh. Maybe I'll come back and sneak a snapshot of it, and blow it up, and hang it in my dorm room.
