I hate long distance anything

I like to think I've accepted that some people will just not be very good at keeping in touch over long distances. Some people will not be good at calling you back, or keeping their promises. Some people will just be better as friends in person. This shouldn't piss me off anymore. Why am I pissed off about this?

I think it just puzzles me when people behave as though friendships are really important to them and then they can't seem to put in the effort to make it work when something changes. Things change, people change, friendships change...but change shouldn't automatically be a death sentence. Maybe that's just the way of things. Maybe that's just how I know who's really in for the long run and who's just there for convenience. I should know this by now.
